Robert and Felecia's gender reveal party!!

A few weeks ago my brother-in-law and sister-in-law had a gender reveal party for their baby due in December.  We had never gone to one of these parties before and it was a lot of fun!  We were also, very excited to find out if we were going to have another boy or the first girl in the Jacks' family.  Nathan got to help open the box of balloons that revealed the gender (Terry really did it though :)).  We found out it is a boy - Matthew Bryan Jacks!  Nathan is very excited to have another boy cousin and someone he can have fun with when the family is all together.

Peabody Water Park

A few weeks ago we went to the Peabody water park down town.  Nathan wasn't so sure about the water at first, but I decided he was going to like it!  I played with him in it for awhile and then Terry did.  After awhile he started really liking it!  Here are the pics!

Paradise Park

About a week and a half ago we went to Paradise Park in Jacksonville with my family and went to feed the ducks.  Nathan was interested in it for a little while, but he mainly liked just wearing his mom out and running all over the whole park!  We saw ducks, geese, swans and muskrats.  Nathan loved seeing all the animals.

He loves animals!

Running around!

Down he goes!!

I'm Back!!

So, I know its been forever and a day since I have posted!  What can I say, this little boy keeps me insanely busy!  He does not like it when I get on the computer, so I can only get on here when he is asleep.  I could try and catch up on our life the past year or so, but I think that would be way too time consuming, so I think I am just going to start where we are right now!  Yesterday was Father's day.  Terry is an awesome father to Nathan, so we did a few things to make him feel loved!  For breakfast I made his favorite - cinnamon rolls!  We gave him his gifts and Nathan made him a few things like a card and a little picture.  We went to church and then went to our favorite Thai restaurant and had lunch with both our dads.  Then last night Terry got to go out for a guys night.  All in all I think he had a pretty good day!

Here are some pictures I took of Nathan and his Daddy for Father's day:

Nathan's card to his Daddy.  He colored it for him!

Nathan wants to be just like his Daddy and likes to copy him.  His new thing is that he wants his towel just like Daddy wears his.  It really cracks me up!

Long time, no blog...

Sorry, for my long absence (I promise I am going to start doing better, although nobody reads this thing)! Nathan takes so much of my time it is so hard to be motivated to write in here. Nathan is 4 and 1/2 months old now and I cannot believe it! He is growing so fast, it makes me sad. He is rolling over, both ways from his belly and from his back. He is laughing and talking (baby talk, not saying actual words :) ) all the time! He loves playing with his feet more than anything, not toys compare to them!! I love him so much and I still cannot believe God has blessed me with such an awesome gift!!

Nathan's first Christmas was wonderful! He got a little fussy because the holidays really messed with our schedule, but Terry and I had a great time experiencing Christmas as parents. You realize when you are a parent how things don't really matter anymore., it's all about family. Terry and I didn't really care about what we got, but we loved giving Nathan gifts and seeing what he did with them. I know next year will be even better because he will actually know what is going on more and be able to interact better.

Here are some pics of him lately!!

***I am going to try to start doing some different things on my blog, we shall see if I actually stick to this!***

Nathan Thomas Jacks arrives 9/9/10!!

So, I know Nathan is now two weeks old and I am just writing the labor and delivery story, but late is better than never, right?! I've been so worn out since he has arrived, I haven't had the energy to even update my blog. So, onto the story...the day before I went into labor I was determined to walk this baby out. I went to five stores and walked around for hours. When I got home I started cramping a little, so I was hoping all the walking was working. I went to church that night and just started feeling funny. I told my sister that night, that I would see them at the hospital the next day. Thursday morning I woke up around 3:30 a.m. in major pain. I couldn't sleep any longer, so I decided to get up and start keeping track of my contractions. They kept getting closer and closer and more and more painful. I let Terry sleep because I knew I would need his help that day and that he would wake up for work around 6. He woke up and found me in the living room and I told him I was in labor. He watched me for about 20 minutes and my contractions were 5 or so minutes apart, he decided it was time to go to the hospital. I told him I wanted to take a shower first, so he helped me. We got everything ready and in the car and of course with our luck we hit 8 o'clock traffic. It felt like forever, but we FINALLY made it to the hospital. They have special parking at Baptist for mother's in labor. Well, you have to go down this really long sky bridge and I was having my contractions so close, that I was barely making it. Terry had to hold me up. Finally, a very nice nurse saw me and he ran and got me a wheel chair. We finally got admitted into labor and delivery and got into our room. The nurse came in and asked me tons of questions and checked me. I was at 3 cm and 100% effaced, she said we are going to have a baby today! That's when Terry started calling our families and letting them know the good news. I had felt nauseous all morning because of the pain. While Terry was on the phone with his dad I told him I was going to be sick. Poor Terry held the bucket while I threw up. I felt so sorry for him. He was so helpful and such a trooper. He had to see me go through everything and he remained so strong. Anyways, they gave me some pain meds and Zofran until I could get the epidural. The meds didn't help at all, the only thing they did was make me really drowsy and I could barely keep my eyes open. I didn't like it at all. The doctor had to come break my water. That was one of the weirdest feelings, but I think it definitely helped me progress more quickly. Finally, around 11:30 or so, they gave me my epidural. It wasn't bad at all. The worse part was the position I had to stay in and staying in that position and not moving when I was having contractions and it also gave me the shakes after Nathan was born. I told the guy that gave it to me that he was my new best friend. After that, I felt great! All I could feel was pressure. I didn't really start talking until I had the epidural because of the pain. I started feeling strong pressure around 4:30, so the doctor came and checked me around 4:50 and she said its time to have a baby! My mom, sister and I all started balling. I pushed for around 20 minutes and then Nathan arrived! He was so perfect - 7 lbs 12.5 oz and 21 and 1/2 inches long! God blessed us so much with everything! He is beyond anything I ever imagined! He is now 2 weeks old and doing great. He now weighs 8lbs and 6 oz. He is wearing us out though! He likes to eat every 2-3 hours, so I don't get much sleep at night. I have NEVER changed so many diapers in my life. He is so worth all of it though. I look at him and all I can do is smile! I love him so, so much! My life has completely changed, but I cannot imagine my life without him! Here are some pics!

* 7 WEEKS * until Nathan arrives!!

Tomorrow I will be officially 33 weeks, which means it will be 7 weeks until my due date! I cannot believe how close we are to seeing Nathan! We are so excited and can't wait to hold the little guy. We started our birthing class this past week. We have 3 more. It was really interesting, I learned a lot and Terry really liked seeing the labor and delivery room and what all was going to go on. It made things seem more real, but it also made me nervous. I am praying for a smooth labor and delivery, but you never know what can happen. I just know whatever I go through will be worth it because in the end I will have a great gift! We are almost completely done with the nursery. We still have a few things to get, but it is looking great! I have some pics below! Next week is my first baby shower. I am sooo excited, it is going to be so much fun seeing all my friends and family and getting cute baby gifts!

28 weeks!
32 weeks! SO BIG!!
